All the Team Addy 3x3 tournaments will strickly follow the FIBA / Olympic 3x3 rules.   

The following are some of the main rules for the FIBA 3x3 game

• 10 minute game or first to 21 points

• Timer will be "run time" with the last 1 minute being "stopped time" if the game is within 5 points (this keeps us on schedule)

• Each team has 4 players

• traditional 2 point baskets worth 1 / traditional 3 point baskets worth 2

• 12 second shot clock (for our tournament, our refs will be instructed to give a "5 second warning" if players are stalling or taking to long to shoot.  Gold medal games will have an electric 12 second shot clock)

• Normal basketball rules apply (IE travel, 3 in the key, fouls)

• after a score, the ball is not dead.  If you get scored on you immediately transition to offence without taking the ball out of bounds.  Just grab the ball and clear the ball past the 3 point line.

• There are no coaches, or instructions for the players.  For U13 and below, a parent can help with subs.  But there is no "coaching" allowed.
