WHAT TO BRING:
All games are inside, so normal indoor attire and shoes.
Teams are encouraged to wear team shirts/jerseys. Have fun with this! We had lots of fun uniforms last year, lets keep this tradition going.
Teams may want to set up a “home base” outside, as there may be 1-2 hours off between games. There is lots of space, so bring a shade structure, blankets, etc to set up a rest area.
The Team Addy event will have options of paying with debit/credit cards, but you may want to bring cash to make transactions simpler. For all food, raffles, games, etc, event goers will buy tickets from a central ticket booth, and then use these tickets at the event.

RULES
Team Addy 3x3 will follow the FIBA 3x3 Rules and our HOUSE RULES (listed below) to help keep the tournament on schedule.
• Games are 10 minutes in length or first to 21 points
• If tied after 10 minutes, OT will be 2 minutes. Whoever scores 2 points, or whoever is winning after 2 minutes is the winner. If tied after 2 minutes, there will be a foul shot shoot-out to determine winner
• ROCK, PAPER, SCISSORS will determine first ball to start game (and overtime if needed).
• 3x3 Rules Summary Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bN6LywHcihI
NO STALLING
TO PREVENT STALLING (IF A 12 SECOND SHOT CLOCK IS NOT AVAILABLE):
• If a team is ‘stalling’ or play has been too long, or the defense has prevented a try for basket, the official will audibly state, “5 seconds to shoot”. The official will use a visible 5 second hand count. At the end of the count, if a try has not been released and hit the ring, it will result in a turnover.
AIR BALLS & STEALS
• Air Balls: When a try for basket has not hit the ring, the shot clock will continue to count down. (If no shot clock: if the ball is secured by the offense – the 12 second count down will continue.)
• Steals: If the ball is stolen by the defense (Including securing an air ball), the defense must clear beyond the 3-point arc before initiating an offense.
OVERTIME TIE-BREAKER RULES
• The first team to score 2 points, wins. (YOU DON'T HAVE TO WIN BY 2)
• If after 2 minutes of overtime, if one team is up by 1 point, they are declared the winner.
• If after 2 minutes of overtime, both teams are still tied, a free-throw shoot-out will determine the winner.
•A coin toss will occur, with the home team calling; the winner of the coin toss will determine which team will shoot first.
•Each free-throw will be taken by a different player of each team (i.e., rotating through all team members if necessary).
•After equal attempts, the first team to gain a 1- point advantage will be declared the winner.
TEAM SEEDING FOR BRACKET PLAYDOWN
• 2 points for a win in pool play.
• After pool play, team seeding will be determined from points awarded during pool games.
• Head to head games will be the tie breaker.
• Three-way ties will be broken by points +/- in pool play for the teams involved in the tie.
